  1. okay I'll be the first :) The entire program was amazing. It was a lot of firsts for me. And i mean ALOT. Before Decision Medicine, I never had the chance to visit hospitals, davis med center, and sf (with the exception of chinatown with the fam) and all the other facilities. I will never forget what I've learned from Decision Medicine. With the knowledge I got with the two-week program, I'm sharing it with my friends and teachers. Later this year, I will be talking to the beginning Health class at my school, telling them my experiences and what I've learned through DM. Also, I'm in the advanced Health Prof ROP I class, and we're starting internships when we get back from fall break. I asked Dr. Adubofour, who I shadowed for a day during DM, and I will be doing my internship with him :) I definitely won't forget SF because it was the first time I went on a boat and to pier 39. When we went to St. Mary's, it was an experience i won't ever forget. the homeless people who struggle each day, and the people there who support them. It was really an eye opener for me. I understand why DM included this experience for us. The people we saw there were so grateful for the worn out shoes. It was so heartbreaking, but everyone working together to separate the shoes and everything- really made the difference.
The coolest person I met during DM was Dr. Adubofour. I don't know if he knows this, but he's really amazing. As a doctor, he really gets to know his patients. He helps them with their own problems to try to tackle the reasons why they are ill. Either making a phone call to a patients relative or refusing care if they continue to smoke, he really does help his patients. He puts in his efforts but also asks them to change their lifestyles in return. He also has alot of teaching tools besides the cool info room about diabetes. He really is into letting the patients understand what is happening to them and what will happen if they do not help themselves.
Okay I shared mines, your turn!! ;)
